In a game where consumables are scarce and highly valuable, Bulk Food acts as a beneficial brand of item that allows Alex and Joel to flexibly replenish themselves without potentially wasting high-healing items like Mystery or Domestic Jerky on a minor wound, or otherwise allowing the duo to save such items for difficult battles.
